Ive been playing for I dont know how many years.  I wanted to play drums when I was about 7. My mom
said no because they were too loud.  So she said I could play the guitar. HA!  Anyway, showed her!
Grew up in Bandera and knew all them guys.  Jeff Mosley, Byron Boyd, Bobby Boyd, Gerald Boyd, Bruce
Robisin, Charlie Robison, Mark Alert, Jeff Hearn and most important Harvey Hauck on drums.  Played
the Cabaret, Arkey Blues,  the Purple Cow, Bo's Rodeo and at all them dude ranches. Black Suede was
my first band I played with in high school.  Then I was out in the Kerrville area and played in a band
called Tejas with Harvey and Jim Benniker.  Then in San Antonio with Shane Cody and the Free Beer
Band. Then...

played in West Texas with Debbie James Band and another called Hardtimes. Had a good friend named
Leon Langley that played steel and another good friend that played drums named Rodney Riordan.
Also a bass player named Pete Jensen. We kinda stuck together through different bands, different
wives, different divorces and sometimes the same court dates.
Victoria area next on that south dancehall circuit.  59 South was the first band.  No wait there was one
called Country something with that steel player Tommy Roots, then 59 South.  Then Knightrider and
Texas Accent with David Kersh.  Then Easy Money.  That was a cool band. Then I moved to San
Antone.  Played with Texas Fringe. Then Shawn Allen and the Bout Time band. That was an experience.
Then Wildcard and now you know who. There are a about 7 or 8 other bands I played with a few times
stuck in there but I dont remember them all.  I played in an all rock band called Rapid Fire based out of
Kerrville for awhile.  Wished I had those recordings.  I have met so many musicians over the years.
Wonder what happened to some of them? Like Billy Light out in Big Spring, TX. If anyone that used to
know me wants to get ahold of me email me at ctomerlin@gmail.com

I love this band. It is one of the best I've been in.  Very Versatile.  I love playing in a band with my boys
now.  I am so blessed.
